This year is the 30th Anniversary of the ARRL Northwestern Division Convention in Seaside, Oregon. Since 1982, the Oregon Tualatin Valley Amateur Radio Club has provided its leadership with assistance from other area clubs which includes the Clark County Amateur Radio Club, Hoodview Amateur Radio Club and the Sunset Empire Amateur Radio Club.

Please join us this special year. You’ll be glad you did.

As always, we have a large number of new equipment dealers and flea market tables

On Saturday evening there is a large dinner banquet with a guest speaker held at the Seaside Convention Center. This year, in honor of our 30th anniversary, we are proud and excited to welcome NASA Astronaut Dr. Michael Reed Barratt (KD5MIJ) as our banquet speaker. He will speak on the topic of "Living in the Ultimate Ham Platform".

As usual, we will offer our free seminars on Saturday, and this year we will also feature a Friday workshop on Software Defined Radio presented by SEA-PAC and T.A.P.R.

Seaside Convention Center is a No Smoking Facility - ORS 433.839 and 433.875
No pets allowed in the Convention Center.
Children 12 and under must be supervised by parent or guardian at all times.

Talk-In
STARS and SEARC will provide talk-in on 145.45/pl 118.8, 145.49/pl 118.8, and 146.52 simplex.

Spaghetti Dinner
Plan to come early on Friday for the All You Can Eat Spaghetti Dinner Fund Raiser for STARS/SEARC. This dinner will take place at
a new location, the Bob Chisholm Community Center, 1255 Avenue A in Seaside. Serving 5:00 PM until 8 PM.

Special Event Station
The W7OTV Special Event Station will be operation again at this years SeaPac.
Saturday and Sunday May 19th and 20th - multi station, multiband (total # of stations/bands to be determined)
Saturday and Sunday May 25th and May 26th - multi station, multiband (total # of stations/bands be determined)
SeaPac - Saturday June 2nd - Likely one station, one band at a time. 30th anniversary special event "finale".
SeaPac - Sunday June 3rd - <TBD>.

30th Anniversary Commemorative T-Shirt
You can place an advance order for a special T-Shirt to commemorate the 30th anniversary of SEA-PAC and pick it up at the convention using this T-Shirt Order Form.

Chuck Mickley Scholarship
At SeaPac the Chuck Mickley Scholarship is awarded to an amateur operator who will be attending college as a new or returning student. Please make sure any eligible amateurs that you know are aware of it. Applications are due by March 31, 2012 and full qualification criteria and application materials are at http://www.otvarc.org/scholarship/index.html.

RV Parking in Seaside
The city of Seaside does not allow overnight RV parking on its streets and parking lots and will ticket violators. If all Parks in Seaside are full, a special permit may be obtained from the City of Seaside to park in designated lots. Details will be available at the Convention Center during SEA-PAC.   

Lodging in the SEA-PAC area
Lodging in Seaside is quick and close to the convention area. However, lower priced lodging can also be found in the Astoria/Warrenton area 15 miles north of Seaside for visitors willing to drive a little farther. Be sure to look at our sponsor lodging for special rates for SEA-PAC visitors.
